So, Whats Happening to Phoenix Fives...?

Postby Cerberus » Tue May 01, 2018 7:26 pm

As you all know at the April Monthly Meet I stood down as P5 Area Co-coordinator. Meaning that officially P5's did not have a 'hand on the wheel'.

Thankfully at the meet Mr Ken Morris (Mozza) stepped up to the plate to offer an interim solution. Whilst he does not have the time available to commit to a full on AC post, he has volunteered to continue to run the P5 Monthly Meet.

The bad news - Without an official AC the group will continue to be absent from events unless volunteers come forward to arrange said stands. 'Runs' will also not go ahead, unless someone volunteers to step forward and arrange one.

If you would like to arrange a stand for P5 or a run for P5 your assistance would be welcomed! Please contact me and I will give you the appropriate blessings to ensure you are covered by the MX5OC insurances etc.

The good news!! - What is guaranteed, thanks to Ken, is that P5 will have a monthly meet. In fact it will be his first 'in charge' tomorrow. So how about you go along and buy him a drink and give him a massive THANK YOU! Good on ya Ken, and I for one salute your bravery!

Hi Shaid,
Anyone in the P5s can organise a run, most important thing is that Cerbs is informed so that the MX5OC Club insurance side is covered.

Hopefully, I will be able to organize one or two myself.
We usually have a couple of events that have become a standard "run" which is the Wings and Wheels at Wellesbourne, The Pershore Plum Festival and National MX5OC rally.

It would be nice for someone to organise a run out somewhere, perhaps to a Motor Museum, Classic Car event, Wales, Chip run, etc.

I am thinking of organising a west coast to east coast - sunset to daybreak run later maybe Thursday, 21st June/ Friday 22nd, but will not be this year for me, as it clashes with the Prescott Hillclimb on 23rd which I have entered.

I have just discovered that "Wings and Wheels" at Wellesbourne won't be happening this year. The current owners of the site have not given permission to this years Vulcan display, the bar stewards.

Pershore Plum Festival is however on the cards again this year ……………… :wavey:

Also The Wythall Carnival on the 5th August (Great Kick Back Day).

I shall as ever be taking info and monies in return for entry tickets for Pershore.

If anyone is interested in Wythall Carnival this one is drop some money in the registration hut on the way in.
Well worth the effort this event.
