Bringing back the P5 Sunstrip.....

Postby Cerberus » Wed Jul 17, 2013 11:08 am

There is no escape! Before I began my month off from P5 admin and organising I set in motion a plan to have our P5 sunstrips reproduced and made available to P5 members. During my little holiday I've still been working on it :banghead:

A central key to this was obtaining the original artwork. We have searched high and low and come up empty......

So... I make this plea!!

Do you have an original P5 sunstrip?

Image

If you do would you be prepared to please take detailed measurements of it for me please? Height of the strip, Height of the font, Width of the text... that sort of thing... I also need some detail photo's of it. Close ups of the 'Flaming I'. A good detail shot of the whole sunstrip, etc.

If someone can help with this then we can get them back into production!

If you make some small flyers too I'd be happy to pop under windscreen wipers or hand to other 5 drivers out and about in my area :thumb:

Sneak peek..... Don't tell anyone.....

I just sent this concept art to the printer for his opinion.....

If he gives me the OK that he can vectorise it into a file suitable for printing this will will be our P5 sunstrip.

I like the fliers idea. They would need to promote us as a part of the OC and mention the OC, To be fair to the OC. But I can't see that being any great shakes. Maybe something A5'ish. With a pic or two from the meets? Link to the OC and to our forum? Yeah could be nice I think.

That looks awesome Cerbs. Top bloke still thinking of us lot while you should be having a break :) is it loyalty or just obsession with forum which made you unable to resist helping out lol? :)

Also I agree with the window cards idea.
Around me in Nuneaton and Coventry I see hundreds of mx5s parked up at homes and many different locations. I would be happy to hand some out :)

Well I haven't logged into the admin console during my holiday... yet... but this darn thing keeps popping up in my email box so I figured I'd get on with it....

We've isolated the font name now so creating the product should be fairly simple... I hope.

I will ask the printer but Im guessing they are usually made to go on the outside.

Anything is possible though. Might be able to do internally applied ones. I will definitely make enquiries for you.
