While we were at the Inter Area Meet the idea of a camping trip came up. Prompted by Curlyteeth we've decided to put together an official summer P5 camping weekend.

The plan is to use a camp site attached to a pub. Which gives us access to the bar & restaurant for evening entertainment and foods. During the day we we could arrange some scenic drives if people would like that.

I've had a bit of a Google around and chosen The Fish & Anchor. In Offenham - PUB WEBSITE

The pub has recently reopened under new management and they are currently building a brand new set of camping facilities that will be ready in August. The pub seem really keen to have us all come along and try out their new venture. If it goes well this might grow into an annual event!

Image

Choosing a date is always very difficult because we are all busy, Especially in the summer. We've settled on the weekend of 13th/14th August. It's a bit late notice but hopefully we can get a few out to enjoy the sunshine and a pint.

To come along is really easy. Just add your name to the list below.

Then

Phone Tom at The Fish & Anchor on 01386 442011. Tell him you would like to book a pitch for the night of Saturday 13th August and tell him you are with the "Phoenix Fives Group". The price per pitch is £16 (prices per pitch per night based on 2 adults and 2 children under age of 16)

Then pack up your tent and get ready for a fantastic weekend!

The List!
1. Curlyteeth & Deb
2. Cerberus & BlueVelvet
3.
4.
5.
6.

I've now booked a pitch with Tom for the Saturday Night! So sorry Greg#2 but you'll to have to officially revoke Cerbs "Billy" status.....

Looking forward to it - a "couple" of cold Guinness on the night.... and you just can't beat that early morning buzz when you first smell the Coffee and the Sausages cooking on the camping stove with the dew still on the grass! Its got to be worth it just for the sausages 8)

P.S. - Not a "ging-gang-goolie" in sight

Come on guys there's still a few pitches reserved for the P5's - what's not to like..... get booked in :thumb:

I camp quite a bit (10 to 15 weekends a year?) but I'm in France at the moment ... it's the middle of the summer holidays and this has been done at relatively short notice so I'm not surprised people are doing other things.

Hope you have a good time, don't be put off ... take this as a dry run and give it another go having gained some feedback on what people want / when they would want it.

Oh heck yeah for sure. I think a few people might decide to come along at the last moment. Which would be awesome. But even if it was just me and BV it would be a great weekend camp out.

It will definitely happen again next year. If this pub campsite is awesome then it will be back here. But we shall see. Definitely got to take this one as a dry run.

Just call Tom to book your pitch folks! £16 a night, that's pretty cheap for a full electric hookup site that has a pub/restaurant.

If you are thinking you can't come because you have no tent and tents are expensive.....

http://www.halfords.com/camping-leisure ... porch-blue

Halfords have some mega deals.... £15 for a tent! At that price it's a disposable tent!

Bit of course.... If camping isn't your bag...... It is a public house. You know, with beer and such.

So if you want to pop out for a swift half on Saturday night.....? You would be most welcome to join us....!
