As an engineer, any design created is public domain, we the company you work has the rights, but if you want to protect it you have to go through the ridiculously long and costly Patent process which takes years and many thousands of pounds, you have to prove novelty and show every competitor what you have come up with first. No one thinks twice about copying what Mazda or any other design process for their benefit, but take a picture and the Luvy arteests who write two words, or take a picture get the whole bloody copyright law to jump to defend them for free.

I'm sorry to be picky about it, but as a photographer who has had images stolen (currently going through small claims process to get my fee for them) I try to look out for other photographers, in most cases if you ask you will get them...
